Brittney Waters

Brief Bio

Brittney Waters is a Lincoln Alumina of the class of 2013. Born and raised in Prince George’s County Maryland. Where she attended Charles Herbert Flowers High School, played four years of high school girls’ basketball under the leadership of Coach Patrice Frazier-Watson, and was a member of the second team all-county.

Here at Lincoln University she was on an Athletic & Academic Scholarship, in which she was awarded the following: “The Most Improved Player- for Women’s Basketball” (2010 – 2011), “The Dr. Frank Tick Coleman Sportsmanship Award” (2012 – 2013) and currently still has her action shot placed on the travel bus for all sports (2014). She graduated in 2013 with honors with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and was a part of the Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP), National Associations of Black Accountants (NABA), Entrepreneurship Club, and a member of Sigma Beta Delta. In 2019, she was inducted as a charter member of Lincoln University Notable Alumnae.

After graduating with honors from Lincoln University, Brittney traveled to Belfast, Ireland with all expenses paid under the “Sports Changes Life” foundation, in which she was enrolled in a one-year program to earn her Master’s degree in Business Management at Ulster University in Belfast, Ireland, and played women’s basketball for the University.  Her team was the Women’s Colleges Intervarsity Plate Champions for the 2013-2014 Season. Brittney was awarded the, “Basketball Intervarsity All Star” (DCU, 2014) and selected to play on the Northern Ireland Universities Team vs. Scotland (UUJ, 2014). She also played on the Ulster Rockets Professional Women’s Basketball Team in Northern Ireland and her team was the Women’s Premier League Shield Cup Runners Up for the 2013-2014 season.

While living in Belfast, Ireland Brittney mentored youth with disabilities and taught them basketball skills. She was asked to coach a 14 and under girls’ basketball team and her team won the BNI Junior Cup Finals Championship for the 2013-2014 season. Once returning to Maryland, Brittney went and gave back to her high school Alma Mater and coached there for a couple years and remains active with the athletic department.

Brittney is currently an Auditor. She travels all over the United States auditing financial institutions and is one of the youngest African American females at the company.

Brittney’s hobbies are traveling, spending times with family and friends, & enjoying the outdoors. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated.
