Jazmyn Simms was born in Washington, DC and raised in Prince George’s County where she attended and graduated from Charles H. Flowers High School. After graduating from high school, she attended Morgan State University where she graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. During her time at Morgan, she served in Student Government Association (SGA) as a secretary and was a member of The National Association of Black Accountants. After graduating from Morgan, Jazmyn continued her education and obtained a Master in Business Administration in 2014 for American InterContinental University.
After obtaining her master’s she began working as an intern for the State of Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development as a bookkeeper. After interning for a year, she received a permanent position with the State of Maryland as a Fiscal Accounts Technician. She stayed with the State of Maryland until she landed a position with the Federal Government as an Auditor in 2017. Jazmyn is currently a Staff Accountant.
Jazmyn enjoys giving back to the community. She’s the coach of the Flag Team for the Black & Green Marching Machine (Charles H Flowers High School) and is also a volunteer for JAH’s Blessing Bags.
In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, spending time with her family, and traveling. The beach is her favorite spot.
