Brief Bio

A career educator with over 27 years of supervisory, teaching, mentoring, web-developing, and entrepreneurship experiences. Responsibilities included in-classroom teaching, job training, life skills training, mentoring, management and supervision. Most recently developed a web-based instructional system (Empower Plus Virtual Communications LLC.). Professional and social affiliations include, a member of the Masonic Fraternal Order of Men, A.E.A.O.N.M.S (Noble Mystic Shrine), a member of the AmeriCorps National to America program, as well as a member of the Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society.

Currently, I work as a Mass Media Coordinator at Ballou Senior High School in Washington, DC. Over the past two decades, it has been a lifelong mission to motivate, inspire, and uplift young people. I am a Head coach High School baseball (DCIAA) and sponsor a host of programs for the young people at Ballou. I was an athletic standout in college in football and baseball. Prior to this position, I conducted research and published “Environmental Influences and The Impact That It Has on Our Inner-City Youths Educational Attainment.” This research gave me Insight on how I could best impact the African American community. The work in this area led to the development of Empower Plus Virtual Communications, LLC.

I am a proud husband of 22yrs. (Kimberly) and have two exceptional daughters, Kennedy Cole 22 and Tai Nicole 18 and an all white “killer” schnauzer, Tor (16). I am an avid angler and boater. I enjoy fishing and navigating my 34ft. Sea Ray during the summer months.

I was raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason at Geometry Lodge #410 Grand Lodge of Birmingham Al. on February 24, 1990 and a Member of Mecca#10 Noble Shrine August 24, 2018. “So Mote It Be.”
